Payment, ordering, packaging and getting in touch! To order and payment Please use the form below, not forgetting to enter your email address! A good old fashioned cheque drawn on a UK bank does save me rather savage Paypal fees. Of course if you prefer I can send you a Paypal invoice [which is about the only option for overseas buyers]. You can use your plastic with Paypal and you don't have to sign up with them so to do. Packaging Trying my best to save the world from this end...Generally items are sent rolled in very strong recycled packaging. I'll make a sturdy protective crate for large enamel signs again using recycled materials wherever I can. It doesn't end there...Your parcel will then be transported to the Post Office in my little electric van.. Postage charges Worldwide standard Postage and Packing is included in my prices. The exceptions being heavy enamel signs and overseas packages that exceed 90cm long which, for reasons best known to carriers, is when their charges rocket to a point that I'm unable to absorb them. In these cases I'll advise you of the carriage costs.
Although I always pack and address very carefully and obtain a postal receipt there’s always a very slim chance that something could go missing. Some signs I simply couldn’t replace. I always strongly advise ‘Recorded Delivery’ for the UK or for overseas - International Signed For’. At cost it’s only £0.75 or £3.70 respectively. That puts a basic £34 of insurance in place. Orders of any value can be fully insured. In the unlikely event of an uninsured item not arriving then I’ll send the Buyer their postal receipt, this is where my obligation will end to the Buyer. Should this unlikely event occur with an insured item I will pursue the Carrier on behalf of the Buyer, with their help where required by the Carrier. Your works address could save you a trip to the Sorting Office if it's possible you'll be out during normal working hours! Condition of and originality items Unless clearly stated to the contrary on this site all items are genuine ex London Transport and London Underground items. Bus Destination Blind sections have been used. After showing out over London's streets for thousands of miles please expect some very minor evidence of wear. The same applies to the enamel signs as not all were removed or indeed initially fixed with the greatest of care. Other signs are all unused London Underground & London Transport old stock. Some date back many decades. They have been stored in various depots and some have picked up some slight evidence of storage, i.e. slight creasing, a mild wrinkle or even a TINY tear on an edge [that will be completely covered by a frame's mount]. Generally they are in extremely good condition, however you are purchasing in the knowledge that there may be some very SLIGHT imperfections. I will not send out anything that I wouldn't show in my own home. Contact me if you are interested in damaged / 2nd quality items that I find occasionally that are available at greatly reduced prices. I'm here to share the wonders and delights of these lovely items with you wherever you are in the world, not steal your money or send you something not as described. “Just a short note to let you know that the parcel arrived yesterday.
